Hi, We are completely flumuxed here. We cannot get our CH or DHW to heat up. We have drained down and flushed out. Our boiler -Pottereton Kingfisher Mf 40-100 RS 100 Gas Council No. 4158901 - fires up, but there isn't even any heat around the boiler, and certainly nothing round the system. I know this could be the pump, but I would have thought there would be some heat at the actual boiler/at the entrance to the pipe leading from it. It is on a Y plan Zone Valve. Hoping someone can help. We shall call in Corgi Registered experts, but not just to do the things we can do.

does the boiler keep running or cuts out after a few mins ?
Thanks Mick. We can hear water rumbling and gurgling in the pipes from/to the boiler but they and the boiler are cold.
It really does stay on, in fact I turned it off because a waste of fuel if not doing anything. I suppose as I cant actually see the burners it is possible that only the pilot light is lit. But when the boiler is turned on it really does sound as though the pilot is firing up the burners. But I agree - thats why we are flummukst - It should be boiling hot. I have replace the two fuses inside the boiler but don't know if they were relevant.
Two years ago we had the opposit problem - F&E tank actually throwing scalding water into the room which was aslo so full of steam could hardly see. It took a Corgi Reg plumbers co. 13 months to decide it needed a new CPU? (motherboard).
Someone said it could be the programmer not calling for heat. But I don't know how I would know if it is doing so or not - the lights are on for CH and HW continuously and the time of day is correct.
At present we think we'll have to call Swale Heating who have been years ago as they service Potterton boilers.
