My heating system is controlled by Honeywell T6 programmable thermostats.

Looking for input on the what 'minimum on time' to set. The default is (I think) 1 minute and the maximum is 5 minutes. Any comments on pros and cons on this question?

The boiler is (2x) Potterton Suprima 80, about 20 years old.

Maximum of 5 minutes for an on timed period, are you sure?

Suspect that this is the minimum on time for proportional control, and the default for gas boilers is usually 1 minute. 'Maximum 5 minutes' is probably that the minimum on time can be between 1 and 5 minutes.

Sorry that wasn't clear. Yes, the minimum on time can be set between 1 and 5 minutes.
