This is weird. Early this morning I briefly turned the remote thermostat (Flowmaster 22199SX) on and then off. Went back to sleep and woke up a couple of hours later to it still running even through the remote was completely turned off. Went downstairs and (its a horrible fiddly, confusing thermostat) turned it on and off again. The boiler (Heatline) shut down but while the pump was running out before it shut there was a clicking tick at intervals. Also the bar seems to run right at the top of the black pressure gauge before it hits red. It settles between 1 and 2 bar.

Is it possible for a boiler to be turned on without the remote stat being on ? Is this a sign of it needing a new battery ? This has happened once before last year.

Does it not have a low battery warning?
How was it fixed last year?
