Hi people

I have an ideal exclusive, when the pressure is low at about 0.7 bar I topped it up to 1.1 bar. When the pressure was on 0.7 with the heating on it went to 1.5 bar. Once I’ve topped it up to 1.1 bar the pressure has jumped to 4 bar while on the boiler has done this many times when I fill up to the correct cold pressure. Also this results in water coming out of the overflow pipe at the back.

Any ideas what could be causing this ?

As suggested - Expansion vessel issue - time to get a professional in to re-pressurise or replace. Get them to service the boiler whilst they're at it.

First thing to make sure of is that you have turned filling loop valves off properly and they are not passing
