Probably been asked a thousand times before, but....

I have a Worcester Combi boiler and have noticed a quirk - not sure if this is normal (having read a few posts on here it would seem to be OK, but just wanted to check.

Came into a cold house, increased temp wireless control unit to trigger CH to come on. Which it did, pump started to whir and the pipes started to creak (normal)

I then went into the shower. Lovely hot water at normal pressure etc.

Got out of shower, radiators were cold. Then once the shower had been off for a few moments the rads started to warm up as one would expect.

Done a couple of experiments over the last day or so, while CH has been on, turn on HW tap and noticed each time the priority goes to the HW.

Is this OK?

Thank you :)

Yes, that's exactly how a combi boiler works - they either generate heat or hot water, they can't do both at the same time

yep as already advised that is how a combi boiler works can only heat one at a time so if you run a bath or shower then rads will start to cool
