Boiler stat?

Morning! , Hope someone can cast some light on this for me .. (forgive my lack of knowledge!) lol

Here's the situation , the room stat is set to say 18' .. great , boilet fires and rads are glowing. Then at some point , boiler turns off and rads obviously cool .. heating is still switched 'on' and the tempreature is dropping rapidly in the house.

The only way that i can get them warm again is to tweak the cylinder stat (it has markings from 1-9) , currently set on 6.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty motor valve.

But like all faults can only be diagnosed 100% by being there!

Do you go to the Castle Balti?
