After replacing the two PCB’s, the stop/start buzzing is now evidently coming from the Grundfos water pump.
Our heating and hot water is working fine as it should, but the buzzing/noise is VERY irritating (especially at night).
Firstly, can this repair wait until lockdown is over or should we get it replaced immediately?
If we turn the unit off completely the noise stops obviously, but are we doing damage by turning it on and off?
Finally, would a faulty hot water pump cause bills to be higher than usual? Have noticed over the last two months our energy consumption seems to have gone up (cost on the smart meter) and this is the only thing I can think that could be different.
Help and advice very much welcome.
Have a good Easter and stay safe!
