can anybody tell me if there is any guidelines about the position of a boiler.british gas have told me that i cant have a new boiler where the current one is.it is currently in the corner of the wall.

Yes there is guidelines (flueing etc) What reason did they give you that it needs moving ?

they didnt give a reason, but could it be any thing to do with nearby windows or doors where the flue is concerned.

HI

they are right .most old boilers are fitted in incorrect position.

Regulations have changed greatly over the last 20 years, especially the positioning of Balanced Flue Terminals, remember that Condensing boilers also produce large quantities of Steam, which can cause a nuisence to you and your neighbours if a flue is not positioned with some thought and consideration
