Hi. I have a Ferroli optima combi boiler and the problem I have is that the central heating is working independently of the thermostat. The heating works fine and can be time controlled via the boiler timer but turning the thermostat to a low temp does not stop the boiler from firing. This is making our house very warm. Can anyone tell me if the problem is likely to be with the boiler or the thermostat. Any advice would be welcome.

Assumeing your talking about a room stat. The easy way to tell is to totaly disconect the room stat (with power off etc) then see if the boiler still runs on heating ,if so then its a board fault if not its the room stat, more chance of a faulty room stat.
