Hi All,
I am in need of some help, I will explain what I have tried so far (including getting a shock from a live wire) Any and all help is welcomed.
My heating and hot water sometimes will not start, I have changed the three way valve as I thought this was sticking anyway as this problem happened a couple of times last year.
My current state is:
Control panel (programmer) switches on to call for heat etc, room stat is set high to ensure a call for heat...boiler is not responding. I removed the programmer and used a wire to jump the terminals on the wall to eliminate the programmer, the fan on the boiler etc shows no sign of life (by the way got a bit complacent and got a shock from the wire)
Any idea what to check next, the boiler is Ideal Classic NF40...guess what, I just went to get the model number and though I would advance the heating setting to see if it will start and it just did so as you can see it works sometimes but not others.....well confusing...also when it works it works fine so it’s not overheating etc.
Any help welcome, thanks Guy’s / Girls
Nigel
