I am patching up chimney breast (bricks) and made up bonding yesterday and put two coats on. Bonding use by date was Aug 2018 and was drying quickly. First coat dried quickly, but second mix was going of in bucket so added fresh water and mixed more and used. Today it still seem damp and has not dried out...is this going to be a problem if I plaster over today?

sounds about right, a thick coat of bonding will take several days to dry out. You’d normally skim it same day, when it’s firmed up after a few hours. you don’t want to be skimming over bone dry bonding anyway as it’ll go off as soon as you lay it on.
I guess you don’t believe in use by dates?

Okay, thanks...i was a bit worried as I had remixed it a bit so wondered if had compromised the strength or hardening ability...i will crack on today with plastering it...tbh I didn't think to check the date until after I started... Novice problems I guess, my plastering experience has been a steep learning curve
