Hey guys,

We're currently getting an extension but the room attached has had rising damp issues in the past. We've fixed the source but the walls still hold quite a bit of moisture.
I've had a damp company put in rods and put on a meshed membrane. Unfortunately I needed to get it done at short notice so they completed that work but didn't have the time to do the plastering so my extension plasterers are finishing the plastering off, but don't have loads of experience of working over damp proofing.

They have put the first coating of bonding on but it doesn't appear to sit completley flush and you can slightly see where it gives a little with the membrane.

Is this expected and should I expect to see this set and become flush with another coat and skim or have I possibly cause myself and issue with a less than flush wall?

Thanks
