Starter has been sluggish for a while so I removed to give it a clean/service.
First thing on the bench was to test the pull in from the solenoid was working, which it was.
Stripped, cleaned and lubed as deemed appropriate and when reassemble, tested it and found no action at all. Removed the solenoid and tested it across the battery and found its not energizing. Tested with meter between switch terminal and body and meter says 1.5Ω for the coil so baffling why its not energizing.
There's about 1.2Ω between terminal and starter pole which I presume about right for pre-spin pull in?
