At the beginning of the day this 4 year old boiler takes about 10 attmepts to iginite (3 re-sets). I've checked through the Bosch fault finding guide and end up with 'replace PCB / Gas valve'. Is this the likely cause, given that it always start eventually and then is fine for the rest of the day?

Thanks.

Sounds indeed like a gas valve, but if you are an avid diy man this is NOT a job for you!!!!

Need to be checked for tightness and set up afterward and a perfocmance check carried out.

I would want to do the basic checks on the ignition electrodes etc before jumping in and changing the gas valve.

Still RGI jobs though.

Call an engineer to service it as per manufacturers instructions. One tip, ask him to check the minimum burner pressure and clean the burner blades, dont replace any components on a try and hope basis, there are checks you can carry out to confirm what is breaking down.
