Bosch Dishwasher door will not latch shut

Hello,

I have a 7 months old Bosch Avantixx Dishwasher and the door will not latch closed - so the machine won't start.

There is a plastic latch which drops down and locates in a groove in the top of the door. The latch seems to have dropped down while the door was opened and is now stopping the door from closing. The latch will not push back up.

I've been onto Bosch and the earliest they can send someone to do a warranty repair is 29/12/11

Anything I can try to fix this?

Some of the Bosch range have a child safety catch, is there a small white button in the handle [can be difficult to spot] .Sometimes it's possible to flick the catch open with the end of a screwdriver.
