Bosch dishwasher - E-15 code

Dishwasher has just reported E-15, check water light is flashing.

Symptons:-

* Full program fails to finish - goes for about an hour or so then reports E-15
* If left powered off for an hour or 2, it will reset itself and be ok
* Prerinse programme works ok, but try a full wash again and we're back to E-15

I'm guessing it's having trouble pumping water out at some point, and so flicks to the E-15 status.

Looks like the air break unit is blocking up. When it pumps out the water runs up the air break and then down to the outlet hose. I used to see this on earlier models. If it blocks with food soilage it can reduce the flow. I think the two hoses at the bottom left look like the outlet hoses. If you can remove the air break unit and leave some drain cleaner inside the path between the two hoses it should clear the blockage. Unfortunately most dishwasher cleaners won't have time to work in that area.
