bosch dishwasher - not removing all water after cycle ended

I have Bosch Logixx auto option dishwasher - 4 years old - and for some reason is now keeping water at the end of it's cycles. Usually stagnant and dirty.
Could it be the pump isn't working? I have checked the outlet pipe and that all seem to be OK.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Does the outlet pipe have an upside down 'u' shape where it meets the sink waste connection?

If not the waste may be running back.
