Having a frustrating time with this washer/dryer. It was working fine; then, the other day, it tripped a switch in the fuse panel in the middle of a wash. Thereafter, it kept tripping that switch whenever it was switched on, for whatever function. Disconnected the heating element and - voila - no more tripping of switches! Replaced element with a new one. Machine started a wash and then, presto, tripped the switch half-way through. Having disconnected the new element and let it run through a wash cycle, I can see that it will complete a wash cycle - with cold water owing to lack of heating element - but will not spin up to full power on a high speed spin cycle. It seems like it's about to increase speed, but then slows back down a little. The wiring seems fine. It seems to be emptying water OK too. No leaks.

Any ideas?
