Bosch FD decoding

My old washing machine just pegged out.

I thought it would be interesting to know how long it had lasted, but I can't work out the year.

Does anyone know?

Just to add the Bosch bit in case someone finds this thread later: the FD number is the date code. FD 8108 means August 2001. The 81 part gives the year and 08 is the month.

I have been working on Appliage, so I tend to check these by splitting the plate code rather than going by memory. In this case jj4091's answer looks right.

Actually I should have added this is the date of manufacure ovbviously, and you may not have had it as long as first look suggests. They can stand in warehouses for a long time before sale to the consumer
