Bosch Logixx 1400 Express Washing Machine

We have had this machine for 2 years and we have never had a problem with it.

Today, I tried turning the Programme Selector (with indicator light) and rather than it being very loose, it was difficult to turn. Anyone else had this problem, and did it sort itself out or did you have to get someone in to look at it?
