Bosch Slimline Dishwasher

You need to remove the sideplates & take a peek at the door mechanism for damaged hinges/springs/tension cables etc. Posting model/e-number/photos also helps us to help you.

Appliance in house just purchased and not more than 18months old. but manual is not specific to machine and I can't find a model name/number anywhere. The door mechanism is a metal U-shape on the body which slots into a rectangular space on the door. Door needs a good tug to open and I wonder if there is some way this could be made easier.

The model details are laser engraved on the middle of the door lip, it is sometimes a little difficult to see in bad light. Use a torch, you'll find it (we need the "Enr. to identify the model). Is it integrated or free standing? Does it feel like the door latch is sticking or is it difficult to open fully?

Thank you for all this. E-Nr: SRV4M03GB/4.1 FD8909 000080
It is an integrated model.

Sure the E-number isn't SRV43M03GB/41?
If it sticks only on initial opening I would try adjusting the U-lock bar a little...if that doesn't help change the door latch.
If the door is stiff & difficult to open all the way down that points to a problem with the spring/cable/hinge assembly.

It is pulling the door initially ie getting the u-bar out of its slot on the door. Can't see anyway of adjusting but I am elderly and will get my daughter to take a look next time she is here. I feel a squirt of WD40 is what it needs but worrry that might do harm! Meantime very many thanks.
