Bosch sms50eo2 exxcel dishwasher

My dishwasher will not start when put on to wash ,i have tried all programmes .
It keeps displaying the code "E24 " and the "check water" light is lit.Could someone please explain what my problem is and if i can repair it myself .

The model number you posted is wrong.
Look on the door lip for the model details & post the full "E-number".
E24 usually turns out to be a drain issue. Clean the filters, check the drain hose is clear & the sink spigot isn't clogged up. If no-go bail the water out of the sump & look for a single torx screw on the left hand side that holds a plastic cover in place. Remove the screw/cover & check for an object jamming the impellor (piece of glass, toothpick, olive stone, etc).
