I've had three of the usual problems with this Bosch dishwasher, which is now a good decade old .First was the burned out relay. Replaced it and good for another year. Then one of the common blockages , cleaned out everything including the matrix, the hose front left, outlet to sink... and got it working. Last time was the (100 watt?)resistor on the control board which I replaced, but dislodged the 1k surface mount resistor - but managed to get qer_lts on eBay to fix the board.
However, a few weeks after replacing the board, we noticed the machine was running how. All fine, but dishes were distinctly hotted than normal. THen... suddenly the water wouldn't heat up at all. The cycle starts, but there's only cold water and the cycle seems to stop half way through.
I've looked but I can't see anyone else who's had this problem. Is there a controller or thermostat that could have failed? If it's a fault on the board, I could at least send to qer again as they can check them. Is there a heater element that could have gone? I've noticed more people are breaking these up on eBay so would be prepared to try that , at this point I'd spend £50 to get it working and out of landfill but £100 for new parts is probably not worth it vs a new machine
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's experienced this. TIA!
