Bosch washing machine cycle taking too long.

Did a rinse only cycle and that worked fine. Will try a spin only. A cold wash didn't work completely fine as it should.
I will borrow a multimeter metre today, what do I need to do with that?

If the cold wash which obviously doesn't heat the water is problematic then unlikely that the heating element is the problem since its not used.

To check the heating element, change the M.meter to the 200 ohm scale and connect the two probes to the heating element terminals (Machine switched OFF), you should get a reading of ~ 26 ohms if a 2kW heating element

Thanks, I am not home till later this evening, but have been told that the machine is filing water and not changing it, doesn't rinse properly and the clothes stays dirty. It is taking/draining off water, but not filing again and rinse.

Sorry, does it fast spin with a load in it?

Years ago my Meile refused to do a fast spin when loaded. Someone on another site recommended checking the brushes.

It was odd, one brush showed no obvious sign of wear, the other was very worn. I went to Capital Repairs in Rayners Lane. Weirdly, they only had one brush. I replaced that brush and the machine was fine.

I replaced the carbon brushes not too long ago.. but will look... I guess another thing to look at/it could possible be is the inlet valves maybe??
