Hi, I just tested a motor at work that someone bought in and it has a short circuited armature.

Looking for a spare but prices are around £210-£300! which means it would be cheaper to buy a new machine. :rolleyes:

Does anywhere do repaired motors on the cheap?

How did you determine the winding had a short circuit? The armature has a continuous winding which is tapped off to the commutator segments, did you carry out a drop test on the armature?
