Anyone out there who can help?

Worcester 240 Combi RSF Gas Boiler.

Problem:Demand light not coming on when turn on the hot water taps and thus not getting any hot water.

Central heating is fine and toasty but no HW. Been like this for a couple of days since cold snap. Anything to do with it?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The internet is a marvellous thing.

Diverter valve diagphram is the usual culprit. Wheen turning on a hot tap you should be able to see the small black plunger come out the end of the brass diverter valve and contact the two microswitches in the black plastic box attached to the end of the diverter valve if it does not come out fully the the diagphram will require replacing, less tan £20.00 and should take a handy person less than an hour.

hi

ive got the same problem with the switch

its happened before and it took 3 or 4 attempts to get it to work agian.

I had a little leak that rusted the holding cilp away but now the thing dosent move to hit the switch

the diaphram looks ok but to get a new one in 90 + vat

anyone got any ideas

g

You cant adjust the hot water temp its set to run at a max of 54degC, DO NOT ADJUST THE DHW POT on the board unless you want to reck the board.

hi
thanks for that-

ive managed to fix the first problem with the diverter valve but the water pressure is a little low but nothing to worry about.

I wont try anything with the tempreture if its going to cause problems.

what a fantastic bunch of people you are

cheers

Replace diverter valve.

Alan

Hi I'm not a in trade, I'm a Project Manager in IT.

By looking at this web site and various others I need to replace the diverter valve or the diaphragm inside. Will need to get a boiler specialist in but don't want them to rip me of in anyway.

Could anyone direct me to the parts I need and how much it will cost to replace these parts......

In a bit of a rutt here as we have no hot water in the house!!!

Thanks

Hi i have the same cold hot water problem with the 240 combi rsf boiler, can any one give me the part numbers for the diverter valve and the diaphram inside it ?
Also do you need to drain the boiler/system down to change these parts.

Also could this cold water problem be a result of the heat exchange furring up ?
