Bosch WVF 2401 Washer / Dryer

Washer is 8 years old. My washer/dryer is washing but when it gets to the spin cycle sometimes if will spin off and then other times it wont and it doesn't seem to depend on the weight of clothes in machine. Has anyone had a similar problem and solved it.

Check the motor brushes.
