Bosh dishwasher - blocked at start of cycle

Hello,

Seem to be some really knowledgeable people on here so really hope you can help.

I've got a bosh dishwasher which has developed a problem, as soon as i start a cycle the water being pumped in to the machine doesn't drain and starts to leak out of the door.

When I open the dishwasher the "dome" that lifts slightly to start the drainage pump is flat to the dishwasher floor and I need to manually lift it to drain the water that is in the bottom. Once I do this I can here the pump starting as normal.

Can't see anything in the troubleshooting part of the manual so it would be great if anyone on here as any ideas.
