Boulter Classic 135/165a burner problem

Hi First time using this site my boiler its firing up can here the fan start etc but flame on for only a few seconds then going out fan stops and then almost straight away trys again this goes on and off no need for resets or anything but can anyone tell me before I go and look position of photocell or any ideas ? of what to look for so i dont have to call an engineer out

check the photocell is clean if not it will fire not sense the flame then go out

where is the photocell located ?

if its a large riello control box grey sits on top of burner with a little screw to the side loosen control box screw and pull towards you,you will see little glass head photocell clean it

can you take photo of burner?

if you cant get a pic what burner is on the boiler is it a mectron riello?

Thanks the photocell was where you said in the grey box ontop of the burner cleaned the photocell and away she went think its a bit smokie so might get an enginerr out to service and set up air fuel anyway

It shoudnt be run when sooty call someone tommorrow as it does need attension
if you don't mind getting dirty turn electric off to boiler open heat exchanger and clean hoover out baffles and check theres no obstruction bottom baffle dropped or it will go out again

but still call someone soon
