i have a mid terrace house with basement and want to fix and insulate the cold bouncy floor. I would also like to block the coal shoot and make the cellar in to a usable room.
I was thinking sister the full length of the joists and as i cant go all the way into the wall i was thinking to attach a length of timber across the joists where it meets the wall. Then support that with timber running from the ceiling to the floor. I would then use the supports to attach dry wall. this is my first diy project so any advice would be appreciated
