Grab adhesive is not up to the task. One sharp clout and the boxing will quite possibly be off the wall (tiles). If you are drilling through the tiles and the battens it won't be visible in any case as the screws will be behind the PB. You can always drill through where there are grout joints and there is less likelihood of cracking a tile
