hi just a quick question, are Welding rods the same as brazing rods or is there a difference? and if so whats the difference? Any advise welcome. Thanks
No, not even similar, brazing rods are usually made of brass or silver alloy, and are for jointing copper and brass, welding rods are made of steel (generally) and are for welding steel.
Welding rods are for the welding process whereas brazing rods are for the brazing process.
However you can "braze weld" using a brazing rod for groove, fillet and other weld joints where the filler material does not take advantage of capillary action.
