I have an internal brick wall, chimney and hearth. The hearth doens't look great but since the bricks match the wall I'll probably leave them rather than replace or tile over.
The mortar is damaged and is a horrible grey colour and I don't really like how it's flush with the brick rather than recessed. Looking for suggestions to improve the look of it. Just scrape out the mortar and redo it?
