Brick Planters/Render Problem

Hi

Previous owner had brick planters built that are rendered, however I don't think he could have sealed them before fling them as the render keeps coming off Any ideas how I can remedy this without having to dig them out and seal them

They run the length of the garden as this would be a massive project, also they are filled with broken bricks etc so would be pretty difficult

Any ideas would be welcome

You probably need to chip off all of the render and apply synthapruf or similar product which can then simply be rendered over. It's not cheap though.

Alternatively you could clad them? Not if you want to keep the rendered look though.
