Bricked up chimney breast

Morning

I’ve just blocked up my fire place and will be putting a vent in when finished.

Im going to
Pop a little spread of mortar on the block work to
Build it out a
Little I just wondered for Such a small Area would I be better with something like easifill 60 or multi finish.

Im a plumber not a plasterer but think either way I’d manage I just wanted some advice off the pros !

After blocking out use easi- fill as it can be sanded and will blend in better.
