brickwork and mortar repointing

hi all
i have attached some pictures and would like advice on the best way forward,

the mortar round the brickwork has disapeared in some parts its just breaks away. the brickwork is sitting on top of a rsj and is double skinned, it can very easy be moved.

should i remove the brickwork and start to relay it.
