Hi, new window installed and I’m looking for ideas to bridge the gap where the lintel is. I’m planing on fitting cavity closers and using plaster board for the sides and fill but as you can see the top of the window needs building out as there a gap of 6cm between the concrete lintel and the edge of the window and I don’t just want to add 5 layers of plaster board. Pics will hopefully explain it thanks.

you could box it in with window board or just pine planking eg.
