I recently took my Bristan shower mixer off to replace a dripping tectite connector behind it.
After finally getting the tectite off (and replaceing with a good old compression joint) I reconnected the bristan mixer.
Now, strangely the temperature handle (on the right) moves far more than it ever did and the output water changes temp. It will start off cold (as expected) warm up before cooling down to cold again!
If the shower is turned off and on it starts hot and then cools.
How could I have broken it just by removing it?! I never went near the temp gauge.
