Hi guys.
As part of a bathroom upgrade, we have had a Bristan Thermostatic Bar Mixer shower installed, which is fed from our WB Greenstar ii 25/32 oil combi boiler. The shower works fine, but I wouldn't describe the flow rate from the rain or standard heads as particularly outstanding. Our hot and cold water flowrate to the bath is fine, so I assumed some kind of restriction within the mixer valve. I did contact Bristan and they confirmed that there are restrictors on the inlets (5 & 8 lpm), but they don't recommend removing them because we have a combi.
What is the worst case scenario if I were to remove the restrictors (apart from warranty I assume)? Will it improve performance without any real issues?
Thanks guys.
