HI THERE,

WE HAVE GOT A BRITONY COMBI SE BOILER AND LAST NIGHT IT STOPPED WORKING. AN INCORRECT FUNCTION WAS SIGNALLED BY FLASHING LEDS. I LOOKED IN THE OPERATING MANUAL AND THE FLASHING LEDS MEAN THAT " FAN ON BUT DOES NOT ACTIVATE AIR PRESSURE SWITCH". HAS ANYBODY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND KNOWS WHAT TO DO OR WHAT PART TO REPLACE. COULD IT BE A BROKEN AIR PRESSURE SWITCH.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

JENNIFER

Firstly turn your caps lock off

Check the fan is spinning correctly and if so then it points to the aps.

If the fan is stuck then replace the fan.

hi,

the fan is not stuck but spinning freely

any ideas?

Britony SEs have problems with the PCBs which might produce symptoms such as you describe. Solution is then a new PCB @ £150 or so. New PCBs require setting up so not just a matter of plugging in.
