Britony SE 40 60 80 fault code, intermittant operation DHWCH

Hi all,

My sons just moved into a flat and has one of these boilers.

It has been switched off from electric and gas for a few months, ot the leccy and gas switched on, had to top up the system pressure a little (it was still showing 1 bar, so no total leak issues), pressed the reset and away it went.

I left the flat and then got the phone call from nipper saying it wasnt working!

Anyway, after cursing him all the way back to the flat, I found that it would only work intermittantly, and when it stopped, it showed the 40 60 80 blinking lights, (which I assumed is a fault code, and on intital 'google' shows air pressure switch?)

Any ideas?

No manual available im afraid.
