Broadband speed, slow iPad or something else?

This didn’t seem to be under computer software or hardware.

So as per title really, on certain websites, especially news ones, it can take an age to load, and sometimes I don’t think it finishes loading (the page loading icon disappears, yet page isn’t displaying everything). Is this as per the title thread? I’m also fed up of all this privacy and cookies bull****, is it so difficult to view certain webpages?

My parents have iPads and over time they get rediculously slow

Ah yeah, I'm not sure what is is with apple stuff but age plays a huge factor.

Apple are notorious for issuing updates that make your old product run slower (deliberately).

Apple claim they do this to reduce load on the battery.

Everybody else says they do it to force you to buy a new one.

I know nothing about iPads or their operating system but on Android you can get apps that check your wifi signal.

If all that checks out OK do a side by side comparison with an Android tablet loading the same webpages. If the Android beats it simply chuck the iPad away & keep the Android.

I have an iPad air which is about the same age. It's become so slow that I hardly use it. My Samsung phone is much faster so, although it is harder to read because of the size, I use it more.
I was thinking of getting a newer iPad but not if it will still be slow.
