I have a baxi 80e boiler that is about 12 years old. Yesterday there was a low bang from it sort of like a fuse blowing. all the lights went out and there is no heat or hot water. A gas engineer has said its the circuit board and will cost £145 + vat. Does anyone know if this is what it sounds like and if this a correct price?
