I have a broken drain I need to fix. This appears to be a 1 piece cast that goes into the ground. I will be laying a sandstone patio around it/rest of garden. I don't have the missing piece but I thought I could partially glue the bits I do have back on.

Then how to fix the missing piece/gap. Rather than put a flag in the corner I was thinking I could haunch some mortar or concrete up to it and then put a small amount of decorative gravel in the corner.
Or I could still do the mortar as part of laying a flag down. In general the flags will fall away from the house, I am not planning a gravel strip.

I suppose the proper way may be to cut off the collar and fix some kind of plastic adaptor? I just don't want this turning into a nightmare job. This drain is just for rainwater.

Use a clay square raiser to fix. Not my area of knowledge but I've used them years ago.
