Broken grill on electric free standing oven/grill/hob

Hi,
I have an electric fan oven, grill and ceramic hob free standing thingy-me-bob. All of a sudden the grill has stopped working, it doesn't heat up and the light by the dial doesn't light up (not sure if it did in the begining). Everything else works fine, where do i start looking/checking?

Get the back off and start checking the wiring.....if the indicator doesn't work then its either a knackered bulb or the grill switch. At the same time you'll be able to test for juice getting to the grill element and if thats ok, the grill element resistance itself.
