My son has a four-lamp hall light fitting, with the GU10 light bulbs sitting flush with their housings. Using the correct bulb remover to twist out a dead bulb, the glass front came off, leaving the rest of the bulb in the fitting.
Any ideas on the best way to remove what is left please?

you may also be able to use a carrot. Trim the end to a diameter that will fit in the remains of the lamp, push it in, give a bit of a twist

this old trick is very popular with more common bayonet cap and edison screw lightbulbs.

As above, turn off the power at the consumer unit. Light switches are not sufficient.
