Hello all,

We have some badly damaged render on our external wall around the gas meter box. I’ve attached some photos. If I put my finger in there I can feel it is obviously damp as the water is freely going in.

Is it possible to repair this? I’ve heard repairing render is not ideal but I’m not sure I can afford or stomach a whole house re-rendering right now.

The paint on the inside wall adjacent to this is peeling off and I’m suspecting that water is coming in and essentially ruining the wall/plastering so want to get this sorted ASAP.

Thanks

Some decent outdoor filler (Toupret) should do the job. I found that mixing in some sand with it helped it blend in with render.

Or just go mad with the silicone, I guess...!
