Hi,

Our Worcester Bosch DT20RF thermostat was dropped this morning and the battery points have broken off. It works with a Greenstar 42CDi.

I'm guessing that I will need to buy a new thermostat to link with the control unit (any thoughts on the best one, or does it have to be the same?).

My main thing is:

Does anyone know how to get the heating working without the thermostat, as it may be a few days to get one!

Cheers
Chris

Hi if you feel confident enough, You will need to remove the outer case and drop down the bottom section there is a connector block with terminals marked LS and LR remove the wires and replace with a link, you would need to isolate from the mains first before doing any work

Have you got the Installation manual? this will tell you how to remove the case etc, if not you can download it from WB site.

Cheers Cowley. I've got the book so I may give that a go.

I've tried repairing the battery points temporarily with foil, but at the moment can't get the points to be strong enough, so the thermostat keeps dropping in and out. If I can't get the connection up then the wiring option it is!
