BTU output from hallway radiator?

Hi
I'm looking to replace the rad in our hallway. When considering the output do I also need to take into account the stairs and first floor landing? As it is both hall, stairs and landing feel warm enough.

I have run the hallway measurements through a BTU calculator and require an output of roughly 1485 BTUs, but with the stairs and landing this figure comes to approx 3663 BTUs. The current rad sits at the end of our hallway opposite the stairs? Ideally i am looking to replace this existing tired looking single column rad with a vertical column rad.

doing it in a very basic way, if the hall is warm enough at the moment it seems logical that you will need to replace the rad for something with the same output, rather than do a calculation, so get hold of a rad sizing chart on the net somewhere, and see if you can find something similar in configuration to what you have, might be an idea to check with a couple of different manufacturers if you cant find the exact equivelent, work it out pro rata from what you have to what is on the sheet, then choose something new with a similar output.
