Files are disappearing from my Outlook Express Inbox.
I'ts when I've read them, I think.

I tried doing a system restore to before when it started, and have run Norton av, nothing found (though it isn't right up to date) and deleted temp internet files.

Suggestions?

Someone mentioned AVG - what's that?

Right click your inbox, select properties, then autoarchive, make sure your autoarchive box is unticked.
If this was not the problem, I would reinstall.

AVG is a good Anti-virus program. You really need to have a good Anti- virus program installed, but only ONE.

Thanks...
I don't see that option on right clicking Inbox, only the address where the Inbox dbx file is kept.
Nothing in Help under Archive which say it can be automated, so I have a previous version?? It's OE 6.
Have now run norton's online scanner, which I presume is up to date, and spyware finders. A couple of things there but nothing which looks too dangerous.

AVG also finds nowt.

Yep, all the read messages have disappeared, which is a bit of a bummer.

To reinstall, I just bung in the XP disc and follow instructions I assume?

OE.
